Alsace/Black Forest

For a unique blend of French and German cultures, a visit to this region is a must. Alsace is situated at the crossroads of Europe and has a very strong regional tradition. The capital Strasbourg is home to the headquarters of the European Parliament. The Black Forest is a region of outstanding natural beauty with dense forests and sunny meadows, waterfalls, lakes and vineyards. It’s a land of beautiful houses with steeply pitched roofs, of cuckoo clocks and proudly worn national costume and is famed for local crafts and traditions.
