Calvados

From the medieval legacy of William the Conqueror to the World War II
landmarks and D-Day landing beaches, Calvados is steeped in Anglo-French history.
From the banks of the Seine to the mouth of the Vire, the coast of Calvados
boasts miles of sandy beaches mingled with rocky cliffs and overhangs.
Many famous specialities, like the drinks Calvados and cider, are produced
in this area. The historical significance of the area combined with an
impressive selection of fascinating visits to local farms and artisans make
this one of the favourite destinations for our schools.
