Historical Britain

Stratford-upon-Avon and York are two of the most important historic destinations in the UK with magnificent landmarks and unique atmospheres.

The history of the magical and timeless city of York has been influenced by Roman, Anglo-Saxon and Viking settlers for almost two thousand years.
York today is a mixture of elegant Georgian town houses and timber framed dwellings which overhang the cobbled streets.

Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, is steeped in culture and history. Set in the beautiful rural Warwickshire countryside, on the banks of the river Avon, Stratford is England as you like it, a Shakespearean study in half-timbered black and white.
