Iceland
Iceland can claim to be the most westerly (although not the most northern), isolated and the youngest (geologically speaking) country in Europe.
Located in such a geologically active region, Iceland gives witness spectacular ‘fire and ice’ geography. From volcanoes, hot springs and geysers to the glaciers that give it its name, Iceland provides a breathtaking backdrop to a school trip, adding awe and wonder to the lessons learned in the classroom.
