Manche offers a wide choice of fascinating programmes for school visits to the region.  The area is known for its picturesque villages dotted along a beautifully scenic coastline.  Home to a showpiece of French tourism, the magnificent Mont St.  Michel rises majestically from the sand flats.  The spectacular romance and gothic buildings located here date back to the 13th century and make Manche a real architectural jewel.  Nearby Coutances is famously known for its gothic cathedral, not to mention its cheese, while the popular summer resort Granville, with its old town, artistic quarter, and imposing granite fortifications is definitely worth a visit.
