Manche

Manche offers school groups a fascinating programme of visits. The area is known for its numerous picturesque villages dotted along a most scenic coastline. It’s home to a showpiece of French tourism – the magnificent
Mont St. Michel, rising majestically from the sand flats. It’s an architectural jewel with spectacular romanesque and gothic buildings dating from the 13-16th century. Nearby Coutances’ gothic cathedral is almost as famous as its cheese and the popular summer resort of Granville with its imposing granite fortifications is another must-see.
