Opal Coast
The Opal Coast stretches from the Belgian border in the North to the Somme estuary in the South, making access to ‘Real France’ much easier. Home to more historic sites and monuments than any other region in France, you are able to explore the famous First World War battlefields of the Somme as well as Second World War landmarks and museums, or visit some of France’s finest cathedrals.
Explore the region’s 120km of beautiful sandy beaches, cliffs and wild coastlines, uncover the elegant seaside resorts such as Le Touquet, or for an insight into traditional crafts and industry, visit the ancient region of Picardy.
Prices from £174 for 3 nights, full board by coach
And if you're within a few hours of Dover, the Opal Coast is a great option for a day-trip. Prices from around £45.
