Rhine Valley

The River Rhine, the commercial artery of Europe, lends its name to one of the best known areas in Germany. It is a land of fairytale castles, gothic churches, folklore and legends, steeped in history and tradition. The romantic middle Rhine was added to the UNESCO list of World Cultural Heritage sites in 2002. The Rhineland is also home to Phantasialand one of Europe’s top theme parks.
