Seine Maritime

Normandy Seine Maritime is an atmospheric coastal area at the mouth of the Seine.  Home to tourist magnets such as Rouen and Le Havre, the region is full of quiet little market towns, perfect for sight-seeing, and rich in maritime heritage, such as the stunning Etretat.

Rouen is overflowing with French gothic culture such as monuments, medieval streets and 100 church towers.  The city was a favourite of Monet, who immortalised Rouen cathedral in many different guises, through varying seasons and times of the day.  Musée Malraux in Le Havre is another hot-spot in the area, housing a fine collection of canvasses by the Impressionists, who painted extensively in Normandy.
