Spanish Theatre & Drama Course

Drama is an arts subject with its own distinct discipline and methodology. Direct engagement in drama is essential as part of an arts-rich curriculum that every pupil has a right to experience. Through it students become familiar with the culture and conventions of theatre and learn to exercise critical judgement
when making, performing and responding to drama of all kinds.

Who is it for?
Drama is a vibrant and varied subject which has something to offer each and every pupil. As part of the creative arts, it is a practical subject which enriches both culturally and aesthetically. Our theatre and drama course is designed to meet the needs of art learners at Key Stages 2, 3, 4 and is also increasingly
popular with older pupils.

Itinerary
The programme below shows a sample itinerary for 5 nights/6 days with four 1 hour 30 minute drama sessions and cultural excursions.

Sample programme (5 nights)
Day 1   Arrive accommodation
Day 2   Excursion to Girona (the capital of the province with a
           Gothic Cathedral, Arabian baths, Jewish Quarter, etc.)
           Drama session, 1 hour 30 minutes
           Flamenco Show
Day 3   Drama session, 1 hour 30 minutes
           Local excursions in Rosas
           Drama session, 1 hour 30 minutes
Day 4    Full day excursion to Barcelona
Day 5   Excursion to Figueres; visit the Dalí Museum; excursion to
           Cadaqués
           Drama session, 1 hour 30 minutes
Day 6   Departure
