Venice

Venice is a living museum of superb and quite unique architecture; one of the greatest art cities in the world built on over 100 islands and connected by nearly 400 bridges. With its palaces and cathedrals, its canals and bridges,
Venice appears to float magically on the water. Its vast expanses of buildings and monuments, its gondoliers and chansonniers, its frescoes and glassworks set Venice apart, not just from most cities, but from the contemporary world itself. Its museums and galleries hold some of the
world’s largest number of art treasures. Churches contain artistic gems and paintings by artists such as Titian, Tintoretto and Bellini. A vaporetto trip down the Grand Canal is probably one of the world’s greatest tours.

Lido di Jesolo is the best known resort on the Venetian coastline and an excellent base for school visits to Venice. This large fashionable Venetian resort is less than 50km from Venice and combines the leisure facilities of a well-established resort with the rich culture of the surrounding region. Lido di
Jesolo is very Italian in style with a wide sandy beach and plenty of recreational activities.
